This bill prohibits the state from aiding out-of-state law enforcement agencies in procuring information about a person’s reception of radical gender surgeries. The bill also allows the state to ignore laws from other states that would remove a child from one of their parents’ care if the parent is helping the child receive hormone replacement therapy or a gender surgery. CPAC opposes child mutilation, opposes its promotion by the government, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 6, 2023 by a vote of 44-18 and the bill later became law.
