This bill prohibits public employees from downloading TikTok and WeChat onto government devices. CPAC supports appropriate efforts to protect the US’ security interests and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on June 14, 2023 by a vote of 73-21 but the bill did not progress in the Senate.
