Vote Description
This bill declares that every parent has the fundamental right to direct the upbringing and education of their children. The bill then requires schools to inform parents about any major changes that may occur to their children. It also prohibits schools from teaching about sexuality in a way that is not developmentally appropriate. CPAC supports parental rights in education and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on June 21, 2023 by a vote of 65-29 but the bill did not progress in the Senate.
