The bill opens the way for Ohio to join the physician assistant licensure compact that, among other provisions, removes residency restrictions on their practice. CPAC supports reducing unnecessary regulations that improve health care opportunities and lowers costs and supported this bill. The House passed the bill on June 26, 2024, by a vote of 95-2, and the bill later became law.
