This bill requires local school boards to adopt a set of standards that open up school activities to parents, including assuring sexual content of materials is age appropriate, informing parents of a change in student behavior and opening up educational materials and health care services provided to the student, among other provisions. CPAC supports strengthening parental rights and supported this bill. The Senate passed the bill on December 18, 2024, by a vote of 24-7, and the bill later became law.
