This bill sets up a task force designed to assess the impact of organized retail theft throughout the state and to discover the advantages and consequences of various potential countermeasures. CPAC supports appropriate efforts to stymie the growing epidemic of organized retail theft and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on April 26, 2023 by a vote of 69-12 and the bill later became law.
