This bill requires commercial entities that distribute obscene materials to conduct age verification checks on users prior to distributing such materials to those users. It also holds platforms liable for hosting child abuse content. CPAC supports efforts to protect minors from pornography and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 5, 2024 by a vote of 41-5 and the bill later became law.
