Vote Description

This bill prohibits employers from discharging an employee for serving in an appointed position on a state board. It also prohibits employers from requiring an employee to use their vacation days in order to serve on the board. CPAC recognizes that this measure is unfairly damaging to employers and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 13, 2023 by a vote of 38-14 and the bill later became law.
