This bill sets up a fund to subsidize the electronic chip industry and directs various portions of the state bureaucracy to begin developing pathways to channel human capital into this industry. CPAC believes that the government should not work to benefit one industry over another and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 6, 2024 by a vote of 52-4 and the bill later became law.
