This bill directs the Department of Human Services to develop a plan to help SNAP recipients use their benefits to obtain “hot foods.” CPAC opposes measures that reduce SNAP’s role as a temporary bridge between jobs and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 6, 2024 by a vote of 47-7 and the bill later became law.
