This bill prohibits landlords from increasing rent by more than 10% each year. CPAC opposes rent controls, the likes of which constitute an infringement on property rights and create housing shortages, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 20, 2023 by a vote of 17-8 and the bill later became law.
