This bill establishes the CHIPS Child Care Fund and requires the government to seek out ways to fund the child care of the employees of various industries. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize child care costs and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 7, 2024 by a vote of 24-4 and the bill later became law.
