This bill allows the government definition of first time homebuyers to deposit money in special tax deductible accounts. CPAC opposes these special tax breaks that pits those that do not qualify at a disadvantage and opposed this bill. The House passed the bill on June 28 2024 by a vote of 192-10 but the bill was not taken up in the Senate.
