This bill initiates another school foods program, the Keystone Fresh Program by pushing locally grown food for cafeterias and training personnel on the finer points of school meals. CPAC would rather spend taxpayer funds on giving students an education and opposed this bill. The House passed the bill on July 1, 2024 by a vote of 145-57 but the bill was not taken up by the Senate.
