SB 190
Forcing Reviews of Economically Significant Bureaucratic Rules.
2023 - Pennsylvania Senate

Vote Description
This bill requires that “economically significant” rules be held up for review every 3 years. To do so, it forces agencies to submit reports concerning their effects to the Independent Regulatory Review Commission. It then requires that they allow for a 30-day public comment period permitting discussion about the rule. CPAC supports efforts to pare down burdensome or duplicative rules and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 9, 2023 by a vote of 28-21 but the bill did not advance in the House.
