This bill requires schools to notify parents if they have made sexually explicit materials available to students. It also requires parents to give their permission to schools before the schools can show such materials to their children. CPAC supports parental rights, supports efforts to crack down on porn in school libraries, and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on October 24, 2023 by a vote of 29-21 but the bill did not progress in the House.
