This bill allows children 6 years old and up from the law governing compulsory education if they can prove certain disabilities such as Autism. CPAC supports this flexibility, feels it’s wrong to charge these children as truants and supported this bill. The Senate passed the bill on June 24, 2024 by a vote of 28-22 but the bill was not taken up by the House.
