This bill extends the sunset date on Rhode Island’s film and theatre incentives program to 2027. It also allows touring productions to apply to receive such credits. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to pay off the costs of entertainment and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 15, 2023 by a vote of 35-0 and the bill later became law.
