This bill requires landlords to give tenants a minimum of 60 days notice before instituting a rent increase, double the original mandate. CPAC believes that the government should refrain from interfering in the contract agreements between tenants and landlords in this way and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 12, 2024 by a vote of 31-6 and the bill later became law.
