Dishing Out In-State Tuition to Foreign Nationals

Vote Description
This bill allows nonimmigrant foreign nationals to pay in-state tuition if they attended a Rhode Island high school for one year. CPAC believes that in-state tuition should not be given to foreign nationals and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 6, 2024 by a vote of 36-1 but the bill did not become law.
