This bill reduces the state’s gross receipts tax rate from 4.5% to 4.2%. The specific provisions of the bill reduce the amusement device, sales and use, and vehicle gross receipts taxes. While CPAC would prefer to see legislation establishing permanent tax cuts, it still supports tax relief measures and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 9, 2023 by a vote of 31-2 and the bill later became law.
