This bill prohibits the government from awarding contracts to companies owned or controlled by China, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, or Russia. CPAC supports appropriate efforts to further the US’ security interests and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 21, 2023 by a vote of 32-2 and the bill later became law.
