This bill apportions over $7,000,000 to the Department of Health to construct a new public state health laboratory. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to pay for such laboratories and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 22, 2024 by a vote of 32-2 and the bill later became law.
