This bill requires the Department of the Treasury’s Investment Division to invest program assets solely for financial reasons and not on the basis of ESG standards. CPAC believes that public investments should not be made based on ESG objectives and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on April 21, 2023 by a vote of 75-19 and the bill later became law.
