This bill requires that, when localities are creating clean energy expectations or requirements for those living in their jurisdiction, they include natural gas, nuclear power, and a wide range of other items as potential sources of clean energy. CPAC supports a progression toward a more correct definition of clean energy and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 23, 2023 by a vote of 24-4 and the bill later became law.
