This bill prohibits the LEA from deducting funds from an educator’s paycheck in order to pay their dues to a union. CPAC supports legislation containing paycheck protection provisions, supports efforts to fight the corrupt relationship between the government and the unions, and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 20, 2023 by a vote of 23-10 and the bill later became law.
