Vote Description

This bill prohibits localities from adopting ordinances or regulations that, as a result of the type of energy an appliance uses, prohibit the use of a particular appliance. CPAC supports all forms of energy, does not believe that the government should support one form of energy over another, opposes gas stove bans, and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 23, 2023 by a vote of 28-5 and the bill later became law.
