This bill prohibits public universities from discriminating against student groups on the basis of their racial makeup or non-violent political ideology. It also prohibits these colleges from requiring that students submit personal diversity statements in the admissions process. CPAC opposes racist and divisive policies in universities and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 5, 2023 by a vote of 26-6 and the bill later became law.
