This bill extends the sunset date of the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office to 2035. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to assist in the subsidization of tourism initiatives and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 17, 2023 by a vote of 28-3 and the bill later became law.
