This bill prohibits localities from imposing regulations that force people to get firearms insurance for the damages caused by the negligent use of a firearm. CPAC believes that the Second Amendment is not solely a privilege for the wealthy and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 24, 2023 by a vote of 19-12 and the bill later became law.
