This bill doubles the total cap on the amount of tax credits that a developer may receive when engaged in the construction of an affordable housing project. CPAC believes that the government should abstain from interfering in the housing market, believes that government resources should not subsidize wealthy developers, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 23, 2023 by a vote of 28-3 and the bill later became law.
