This bill prohibits localities from discouraging the investigation of a violation of a public camping ban. It also prohibits localities from allowing people to camp on public property that has not been designated for that purpose. CPAC supports measures that oppose the private monopolization of public property and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 18, 2023 by a vote of 21-10 but the bill never became law.
