2023 - Texas Senate
Vote Description
This bill allows Texas authorities to order illegal immigrants within the state to return to Mexico. Failure to comply with this order carries a felony charge with a penalty of up to 20 years. CPAC supports efforts to enforce federal immigration laws and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on November 9, 2023 by a vote of 17-11 but the bill did not advance in the Senate.
