Vote Description
The Chip Roy amendment to the Parents Bill of Rights Act changes Title VIII of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 such that some of the grant funds apportioned in the act are permitted to be used at the educational institution that a recipient child attends, be it a public, private, or home school. CPAC supports school choice and supported this bill. The House defeated this amendment on March 24, 2023 by a vote of 113-311.
