Vote Description

This bill sponsored by Rep. Julia Letlow, known as the “Parents Bill of Rights Act,” declares that parents have various rights with respect to their children. For example, it declares that they have the right to review their children’s school’s curriculum, the right to know if the school allows males to use women’s restrooms, and the right to inspect the books in the school’s library. CPAC supports parental rights in education and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on March 24, 2023 by a vote of 213-208 but the bill did not advance in the Senate.
