RC 182

The Lower Energy Costs Act.

2023 - US House of Representatives

Vote Description

This bill sponsored by Rep. Steve Scalise, known as the “Lower Energy Costs Act,” promotes American energy independence by staving off the Biden administration’s anti-energy policies and regulations. It does this by streamlining the permitting process for the energy industry, by preventing President Biden from banning hydraulic fracking, by disapproving of President Biden’s cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline, and much more. CPAC supports American energy independence and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on March 30, 2023 by a vote of 225-204 but the bill did not advance in the Senate.
