This bill sponsored by Rep. Kevin Hern, known as the “CHOICE Arrangement Act,” expands healthcare insurance options for small businesses and their employees. To do so, it gives small businesses the option to pay their workers in cash that the workers may then use to purchase the healthcare coverage of their choice. CPAC supports measures that promote freedom in healthcare decisions and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on June 21, 2023 by a vote of 220-209 but the bill never became law.
