RC 318
Scrutinizing the Countering Extremism Working Group.
2023 - US House of Representatives
Vote Description

The Harriet Hageman amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act of FY 2024 requires that all of the documents and correspondence of the Countering Extremism Working Group be made available to the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government and the Committee on Armed Services. CPAC recognizes that the federal government has used a diverse array of tools to attack citizens it deems extreme, further recognizes that such attacks may easily be misused in order to target innocent civilians, believes that these activities are therefore deserving of thorough scrutiny, and supported this amendment. The House passed this amendment on July 13, 2023 by a vote of 218-213. Office of the Clerk, U.S. House of Representatives - Vote Details
