These roll call votes were taken in an attempt to elect Representative Jim Jordan as the Speaker of the House of Representatives after Kevin McCarthy was ousted from his position by Representative Matt Gaetz, a handful of Republicans, and House Democrats. CPAC acknowledges that Representative Jordan has the highest CPAC rating of all time and supported his bid to become Speaker. The House failed to elect Representative Jordan on October 17, 2023 after he received only 200 votes, on October 18, 2023 after he received only 199 votes, and on October 20, 2023 after he received only 194 votes.
