RC 571
Refusing to Subsidize Bread and Circuses with Taxpayer Funds.
2023 - US House of Representatives
Vote Description

The Scott Perry amendment to H. R. 4821 strikes funding in the bill for the National Endowment for the Humanities. The Endowment is a federal agency that provides grants to various Leftist causes. For example, it has a Cultural and Community Resilience grant program, the likes of which supports community efforts to “mitigate climate change” and COVID-19 impacts. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to fund the humanities and supported this amendment. The House defeated this amendment on November 2, 2023 by a vote of 132-292.
