H.J. Res 98
Standard for Determining Joint Employer Status.
2024 - US House of Representatives
Vote Description

This Resolution by John James (CPAC Score 61%) reverses a Biden Labor Rule that threatens part time workers by using the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to eliminate the Obama issued, Biden backed rule that changed the Joint Employer Rule and virtually eliminated part time work. The Rule forced them to live under the heavy regulations of full-time employees. CPAC opposed this change that aimed at eliminating the “gig” economy and supported this resolution. The House passed the resolution on January 12, 2024 by a vote of 206-177 but it was vetoed by the president.
