Vote Description
This bill by August Pfluger (CPAC Score 84%) reduces restrictions on natural gas. It repeals the requirement that imports and exports of natural gas must be approved by the Department of Energy. The bill also gives the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) the exclusive authority to approve siting of liquefied natural gas facilities. CPAC supports reducing the regulatory restrictions on natural gas and supported this bill. The House passed the bill on February15, 2024 by a vote of 224-200 but the bill was not taken up by the Senate.
