This motion by Senator Cruz (CPAC Rating 93%) sends the so-called Minibus (Lumping 4 appropriation bills together) back to the Appropriations Committee with instructions to add elements of the Strong Border Bill, HR2, to provide additional resources to strengthen border protection. This was the only HR2 vote in the Senate. CPAC strongly supports measures to secure our southern border and approved this motion.  The Senate defeated the motion on February 29, 2024 by a vote of 32-58. The spending bills passed.
