The Rand Paul (CPAC Rating 97%) amendment to the Social Security Fairness Act provides for an automatic Continuing Resolution funding the government at 94% of current funding when the previous year’s funding runs out.  CPAC opposes the current system that creates a government shutdown crises every year and supported this attempt at a solution and so supported this amendment.  The Senate defeated the amendment on December 20, 2024 by a vote of 28-67.
