Vote Description

This bill creates the Motion Picture Incentive Account, the likes of which will provide cash rebates to government-selected movies and films. Additionally, it expands the list of entities that may receive motion picture incentives. CPAC opposes the government’s continued insistence on lining the pockets of filmmakers and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 2, 2023 by a vote of 62-11 and the bill later became law.
