2024 - Utah House of Representatives
Vote Description
This bill prohibits the Utah state government from granting legal personhood to inanimate objects, plants, bodies of water, weather, nonhuman animals, and other entities. CPAC supports efforts to help government laws reflect reality and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on January 30, 2024 by a vote of 58-11 and the bill later became law.
