This bill provides an income tax credit for purchasing a government approved safety device for firearms. CPAC opposes these government directed tax breaks that involve special conditions such as only one tax break per household, left undefined, and opposed this bill. The House passed the bill on February 15, 2024 by a vote of 42-26 but the bill did not get a final vote in the Senate.
