This omnibus “affordable building” bill subsidizes government-approved homebuyers, including first time homebuyers and creates home ownership “promotion’ zones that government chooses to include in local housing plans. CPAC opposes government subsidized housing that forces taxpayers to pay for others’ housing after paying for their own and opposed this bill. The House passed the bill on February 28, 2024 by a vote of 68-1.
