This bill prohibits schools from shielding parents from their child’s education records. It also states that schools may not, without first receiving parental consent, change a child’s gender identity on their records. CPAC supports increasing parental access to child education records and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 3, 2023 by a vote of 22-6 and the bill later became law.
