This bill authorizes Utah’s attorney general to assault federal regulations strengthened by Chevron deference upon the overturning of such doctrine. CPAC supports efforts to pare down federal regulations and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 28, 2024 by a vote of 17-4 and the bill later became law.
